SHBC Scholarship Fund Program Eligibility Requirements
 
 
Purpose/Mission Statement:
 
The “Exciting” Singing Hills Baptist Church (“SHBC”) Scholarship Fund Program exists to provide financial assistance to all SHBC recently high school graduates enrolled in an accredited college or trade school for undergraduate studies only.
 
General Eligibility Requirements
 
  • Applicants must be an active member of SHBC;
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized, accredited, degree-granting educational institution;
  • Applicants who are attending a 4-year institution will receive only 8 scholarship awards (must be continuous enrollment);
  • Applicant who are attending trade schools, junior colleges, beauty/barber colleges will receive only 4 scholarship awards (must be continuous enrollment);
  • Applicant must submit his or her current registration to the Scholarship Committee in order to receive his or her scholarship money for the next semester;
  • Scholarship awards will be forwarded directly to the Applicant; and
  • Applicant must complete Scholarship Application and return to the Scholarship Committee on or before the deadline.
 
Award Guidelines:
 
Amounts will be based on available funds at the time checks are issued
 
Scholarship checks will be issued in September for the Fall Semester, and in February for the Spring Semester.
